A few months back my sister questioned the reason I wasn't posting on my blog anymore, accusing that I traded my blog for Instagram. While I denied it then I now think it may be true, which is awful. Especially when I'm using my crumby phone camera as opposed to my nice camera. Hopefully with the warmer weather I'll be out more with my camera.

Day 183!
Did I seriously not post anything for three months? Goodness. To say I've been busy is an understatement, as well as a poor excuse. So let's skip it.
Here's one of the fashion windows I helped with. The stars remind me of Rainbow Brite star sprinkles.
This is what I have been working on for a the last few days...
The Macy's Flower Show. So excited I was lucky enough to help with these windows!
Not sure why my credential says Vendor...

This is one of the Flower Show windows. Gina and I spent hours hanging up those paint pallets. Don't be fooled, it wasn't all that easy. You couldn't fit a ladder in there, nor could you turn your face without eating a plant. Still it was insanely awesome to be a part of.

Day 182!
Christmas Cookies!
Last week Dan and I found a recipe for snowball cookies. Basically butter cookies that contain a Hershey kiss in the middle. Putting a twist on it because we love orange chocolate, we decided to make these cookies but add some orange zest/extract. Sounds good, right? Completely, until we realized that we bought the wrong flour (self rising) and our chocolate orange cookie balls tasted like salt.
As per requested this is for Heather...
Our cookies, in shape of balls with chocolate inside and being disgustingly salty, only reminded me of a certain South Park episode, which is kinda funny but horrible at the same time.
We basically made Chef's cookies.
Anyways we tried again with the right flour and they came out 100 times better. Note to self: check the flour before buying it.
"Stir it with a wooden spoon. Mix in a cup of flour. You'll be in heaven soon."

Day 181!
Reddit Secret Santa!!
I participated in Reddit's Secret Santa exchange. My person was from Illinois and really liked guitars, Star Wars and the Grateful Dead. So I sent him a Star Wars hot chocolate mug set with a crazy straw, because everything tastes better with a crazy straw, a pack of Grateful Dead guitar picks, a necklace and one of my MonstAH pouches to hold it in. He should get it by Wednesday, and I really hope he likes everything! Here is what I got.
It's a Fred Astaire movie collection and a shimmer puff, my Secret Santa was keeping up with a vintage theme for me. How cute. Can't wait to watch these movies.

Day 179!
My final photography project!
I did a photo series that my professor didn't care for last week, which I honestly liked a lot. So I decided since this man is so hard to please, I would do two final projects. I had a lot of help from Dan using his lighting and his house for this.
A few photos from series 1.
Series 2.
After I showed the class my work, my professor was very eh about it. He told me there was a lot I could have done differently. I'm sure there was, but could you not at least appreciate the effort of two final projects? Oh well...

Day 178!
I walked up 5th avenue yesterday to check out some of the Christmas windows. Some of them were just simply amazing, some of them were definitely done before, and some were so awful. Among the amazings was Saks. The windows were extremely beautiful. They also had this doll/book in them. It's apparently written for the store, based off of the rumor that a yeti lives on the roof of the building. I have to ask myself something...
Why do I not have one these hideously cute dolls?
By the way welcome to my new blogger! I'm sad I had to leave my old one due to the lack of space, but it was time for a change of layout (really just my banner) and I probably wouldn't have changed it otherwise.
